Our Educational Philosophy

The Bible is central to everything we do. We see it as God’s true and living Word—full of wisdom and always leading to Jesus. We study it in class, discuss it in the hallways, and live it in our relationships.

Students learn Scripture well, listen for God’s voice, and apply it to all parts of life. Our aim is for students to grow in biblical knowledge and faith, capturing every thought and walking faithfully with Christ.

We study the humanities to understand people, culture, and God's world. Students read stories and explore history. They notice patterns in human behavior and our need for a Savior. They learn to seek truth, beauty, and goodness, all pointing to Christ. We use tools like grammar, logic, and rhetoric to help students ask good questions, think clearly, and speak wisely.

Our goal is to help students find their place in God’s story and grow into compassionate people who love what is true.

Science helps us discover the truth about God’s creation. It begins with wonder and leads us to worship the Creator.

We learn science by doing—observing, asking questions, testing ideas, and learning through hands-on discovery. We don’t just memorize facts; we practice curiosity and careful thinking.

God’s creation includes things we can see and things we can’t. The scientific method is a helpful tool to explore how creation is ordered, but it does not speak to God’s intent or why creation exists as it does.

Our goal is scientific literacy—students who understand scientific methods and concepts, can think scientifically, and live wisely in the light of the truths science reveals about God’s world.

Math helps us understand the order and design of God’s world. We start with real things you can see and touch—like blocks, shapes, and measurements—before moving on to bigger ideas like algebra.

We don’t just memorize steps. We learn why math works and how to use it as a language to solve real problems. We practice estimating, spotting patterns, and thinking clearly.

Our goal is for students to be math literate—able to make accurate decisions, manage resources, comprehend data, and solve real problems.

In math, we see that God is a God of order, truth, and beauty.

We study history to see how people and nations have lived and changed. We learn from their successes and failures, observing God’s work even amid sin and brokenness. Through primary sources and discussions, students find how the past shapes the present and guides the future.

History reminds us that people are made in God’s image but need a Savior. It also reveals God’s faithfulness to redeem and restore. Our goal is to help students grow in wisdom, courage, and gratitude as they move forward in His story.

We believe literature opens windows into people's hearts and God's truths. Through stories—both fiction and nonfiction—students explore good and evil, conflict and courage, justice and redemption. Each work helps them grow in discernment, empathy, and wisdom.

We use classical tools like grammar, logic, and rhetoric. These tools help students read deeply, think carefully, and respond with truth and grace. Our goal is for students to see their place in God's grand story. We want them to delight in what is true, good, and beautiful as they read, write, and live the story of their own lives.

We approach language learning as both a discipline and a passion, fostering a love for language alongside mastery. Building on a foundation in English grammar, students study Latin to reinforce grammar skills, deepen logical thinking, and strengthen vocabulary, as Latin forms the basis of legal, medical, and Romance languages. This structured study not only cultivates clear, logical minds but also connects students to the historical language of early Christian texts, enriching their understanding and appreciation of language and culture.

We believe art shows the creativity of God, the greatest Artist. God made us in His image so we can create, enjoy, and notice beauty with purpose. Through hands-on projects and careful study, students learn how art tells stories, expresses feelings, and connects people across time and cultures. Art helps them see with care, create with meaning, and think more deeply.

Whether drawing, painting, sculpting, or music, students are encouraged to pursue excellence. When they create with excellence, they honor God and share beauty that points others back to Him.

We see music as a gift and a language from God. Music stirs the heart, trains the mind, and lifts the soul in worship. Through melody, rhythm, and harmony, students find patterns and purpose in sound. They also discover the order in God’s world.

We teach music theory for a strong foundation. We also create space for joyful performance, careful listening, and musical creativity. Whether singing a hymn or reading a score, students use their voices and instruments. This helps them glorify God and grow in discipline, joy, and wonder.
